"TEENS AND ADULTS"
Who is it for?
The NewLife Bible Study Course is geared for late teens and adults. Detailed answers are strongly encouraged. The questions not only test one’s knowledge of the passage and the underlining teachings outlined in the study notes, but are aimed at discovering how much of the passage the student fully understands and gives opportunities for personal expression of thought. Prizes, for marks earned, are offered and once the course is complete, you will receive a certificate.

“Sharing God's Word with Today's World”
Prairie Bible Services
PBS lessons encourage careful reading of the Bible. We want people to discover its truths for themselves. Its message is amazing and so relevant! There is no other agenda. We don’t make money from it either. This is simply our way of ‘Sharing God’s Word with Today’s World’.
Free Bible Lessons for All Ages
Prairie Bible Services offers free, specialized Bible study materials. There are grades for all ages, including adults. The Bibletime Lessons and NewLife Bible Studies work as correspondence courses. Another option is to download them for use in Sunday School, Bible study groups or ESL classes. They also are ideal for homeschooling parents.
The Bibletime lessons are also available in French and Spanish. While the NewLife course is available in Spanish.
How do the correspondence courses work?
We send lessons out each month. Students do them and mail them back. We pass the completed lessons on to the teachers for marking. The marked lessons go back through us to the student.
Volunteers record marks, print and file lessons and whatever else comes up. The teachers and board of directors are all volunteers too.
How does it work?
Each month, the office sends the students the new unit for that month, when the completed unit is returned to us, we then send it to the teacher for marking. When the teacher has marked it, it is returned to us and we send it back to you along with the next new unit. We follow a monthly cycle – which is ideal for routine and structure in your home.
Course Breakdown
The NewLife course has 36 units, spread over three years. It was originally designed for those young in the faith. There are four studies and worksheets in each unit. PBS students are encouraged to complete a new unit each month and are sent their next unit on receipt of their completed one. The number of units varies according to the topic.
Each of the four studies within each unit involves a careful reading of the Scriptures. The questions not only test one’s knowledge of the passage and the underlining teachings outlined in the study notes but are aimed at discovering how much of the passage the student fully understands and gives opportunities for personal expression of thought.
You are free to use your prefered Bible translation. It is helpful to let your teacher know your choice. Any quotations found in the NewLife Bible Studies are in the New King James Version.
This NewLife course is also available in Spanish. It is hoped to have them available in French in the future, God willing.

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and is the ONLY infallible and authoritative Word of God.
GOD:
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. Though there is only one God, He shows Himself in three ways (see Ravi Zacharias explains the Trinity).
- God The Father God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe. God is Father to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
- God The Son Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ he was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. In His humanity He lived a sinless, perfect life. In His death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission.
- God The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead. He convicts men of sin, regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and sets believers apart to a holy life. He keeps and empowers believers day by day. He is the Teacher of the Word of God through which He guides us in our daily lives and by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
MAN:
Man was created by the special act of God, in His own image, and is the crowning work of His creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Through the temptation of Satan man transgressed the command of God, and fell from his original innocence; whereby his posterity inherit a nature and an environment inclined toward sin, and as soon as they are capable of moral action become transgressors and are under condemnation. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God.
SALVATION:
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer.
Regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
THE CHURCH:
We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is the universal company of God’s redeemed people, His Body, of which He is the head, His Bride, whom He loves infinitely, and His temple, in which He dwells. This universal Body of Christ is visibly expressed in local assemblies, whose purpose is to glorify God through worship, fellowship, instruction in God’s Word, observing the ordinances and training in service to the world. The supreme task in the mission of the Church is to make disciples for Christ in all the nations through the proclamation and teaching of the Gospel. The Church is also to demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ, through word and deed, in an alienated world.
